Assistant Principal for the Day - Charlotte Pick

On Monday, June 4th Charlotte Pick was sitting in the office of MMES performing her duties as Assistant Principal.  At the Hit the Street for Little Feet road race, she won the assistant principal prize and got to be assistant principal along side Mr. Willis.  This was a busy day for our newest administrator!

Miss Pick arrive to school to find her office all set up for her.  She was even assigned an ipad for the day!

Her first task was to create an organized agenda for herself.  She incorporated some of her ideas and some tasks Mr. Willis needed her to complete.  Sorry Dad, she vetoed the "joke of the hour" concept!

At 9:30, Miss Pick headed down to the K wing to tutor some students in reading.  She was a huge help to our young readers!

After ordering lunch out and inviting some friends to have a "lunch meeting" in the office, she collaborated with Mr. Willis to solve some problems in the school.  She felt that her classmates deserved a night of no homework and some popsicles to end their day!  After discussing the idea with her teacher, Miss Pick made these changes happen for her classmates!

They are off to Camp Merrowvista!

At 7:00 this morning, the buses were loaded and the fifth graders from MMES were off to Camp Merrowvista!  The students were bursting at the seams with excitement as the fancy coach buses pulled out of the driveway.  At about 10:00 AM, they reached Merrowvista safely for a week of fun and learning.  We hope the weather will improve by the end of their visit, and we hope everyone remembered their rain gear!  We are keeping our fingers crossed for sun up north!
