Mother Duck!

A mother duck has taken up temporary residency in our friendship garden.  She is sitting on a nest with eggs, and we are all excited to hopefully see some baby ducks hatch soon!  Thanks to Mrs Seymour (see message below), we have a live webcam set up so that you can share this event with your children from your home.  Please DO NOT attempt to visit the nest as it will scare the ducks.  Enjoy the feed (sorry for the pop up ads...we used the free version of the software)!

I've set up a video camera with a live video feed of the mother duck in the Friendship Garden. Below is the link to watch a live feed of the duck. She is to the right of the white wall on the left of your screen. Please share with your students. Just a heads up that there are ads the initially pop up, so please be aware of this and close out of the ads before showing to your students.

Let's show the Boston Bruins our MMES sprit this THURSDAY by wearing Black and Gold!  Students are encouraged to wear black and gold to wish the Bruins good luck as they head into round two of the playoffs!  Please no hats, hair color, or face paint.

Hit the Street for Little Feet!

Hit the Street for Little Feet is right around the corner!  I just registered myself and my son, Cameron, for the 5K.  We are both excited to do our third road race together as a father/son team!  He keeps me going and takes my mind off the "joy" of running:)  Below is a photo from our second road race, "The Turkey Trot" that we did last Thanksgiving.

We are excited to run alongside other parent/child teams.  If you are running with your child, find us at the starting line and we can all start together!  Funds raised will help the PTO, our staff, and myself implement dynamic programs and school upgrades for next year!  See you all there!  Thanks to Emily and John McCavanaugh and the PTO board for organizing this great event for our school.

We Are Monsters!

I have my tickets in hand for Friday night's performance of "We are Monsters!"  Do you have your tickets???  My son and daughter can't wait to see the show with me and I know that it will be an amazing performance!

The grade 5 play will have 3 performances this weekend:

Thursday @ 4:00 PM
Friday @ 7:00 PM
Friday @ 7:00 PM

All performances will be in our beautiful Manchester-Essex Regional Middle High School Auditorium.  You can purchase tickets in advance at arrival/dismissal or at the door.  Tickets are $10 for adults $6 for children under 12 and senior citizens.  Funds raised will go to the grade 5 trip to Camp Merrowvista.
